Quotable Quotes

I just feel like, I get so sad when I think about not working with Matt, because I thought, what are the odds to be able to find someone that you work SO well with for SO many years together...and we laugh and laugh and laugh every single day. Nobody else laughs, but we totally get each other. And that's what I will miss so much...

Ever notice, that Missy's initials (MR) spell 'Mister' and Matt's initials (MA) spell 'Ma?'

Jeremy is off at college now, a freshman at The College of New Jersey! We had to make one stop on the way there, to swing by Granny and Papa's house and take a picture. You can compare.

Jeremy, September 1993 (age three) starting Preschool:

Here we are, four North Plainfield High School graduates, on a special day. My mom was Class of '59, I was Class of '81, Kira the Class of '05 and Jeremy now the Class of '08. What a great day for our family!

  4. Roz...look what you've done...

Okay, Roz...this one's for you. You figured that my husband needed corruption, somehow, and you send it in a parcel. Not one to shy from a challenge, Daniel is our very own Wizard of Oz:

  5. A Silent Auction

    03/16/08 17:31:20 | 5 Comments

At the DAYS event in Hartford, there were several items up for a Silent Auction. I found out by asking one of the coordinators at the conclusion, that Matt brought many of them there on his own, to help raise funds for the cause (children's cancer research).

I put bids on two items and then watched the clock anxiously. Only a few others came around to stand in the way, but as the prices went up, so did my inclination to try to win two items. I let an autographed script get...

I have a boy in my class this year, and his name is James. But his initials are J.D. I find this intriguing, since he sometimes offers glimpses at Jackian moments or tendencies. J.D. is the only boy his age that I am aware of who knows '1776' (the movie musical) better even than I do. I find that odd and intriguing...

Yes, JD was the one who asked me during Journal Writing time, how to spell the word 'perfect.' I barely even blinked and then answered for...

Two things I think I'll pop up here...things for which I will give thanks this season:

Okay, if you look carefully, past the GORGEOUS autumn leaves that decided to stick around for the holiday this year, there's Daniel, sticking out of the garage roof. My husband (insert growling noises here) decided to work on...

Today I attended my youngest sister's wedding, many years in the making. Too long a story to allow sharing, but 'suffice to say' we all breathed a sigh of relief that it went off.

Aside from the fact that my 36 year old sister had an open-back dress that proudly showed off her Pinky & the Brain tattoo AND the fact that she actively chose to wear deep scarlet satin pumps under her traditional wedding gown (yes, we are blood relations, but something was definitely lost in...

Maybe I can get a little bracelet made, but sometimes I just wonder in a given situation: What would Jack Deveraux do? What would he think? What would he say? And here's one I think he'd have fun with.

I exercised my civic duty today...yes, I went to the polls. There were four public questions for my perusal, and the fourth one made me laugh out loud. Here it is (not quite in its entirety):

    New Jersey State Public Question:
    Constitutional Amendment...

Sunday night, and it's time to order out, because it's been a busy day, and who really feels like cooking anyway? Especially when it's October and it feels like August... Question of the moment: what shall we order out for dinner tonight?

Di-lemma ensues. Daniel (the husband) wants Chinese. Loves his beef with tomatoes and peppers. Doesn't want anything but that. Jeremy (the boy) votes for Spanish. Loves his chicken with Spanish rice and has no desire for the...
